Tuition Scholarship

PHILOSOPHY

Holy Family Catholic School hopes to provide every qualified student the opportunity to attend our school.

The responsibility for funding a student's educational expenses lies with the parents.  For those that cannot pay the full cost, Holy Family has a tuition scholarship program that provides assistance. All financial aid is issued as need-based aid. There is no assurance that a student receiving a tuition scholarship in one year will be issued the same amount the following year.

PROCESS

The Diocese of Fort Worth and Holy Family Catholic School have contracted with FACTS Management (FACTS) to administer the Tuition Scholarship application process through their Grant & Aid Assessment service. The purpose of FACTS is to provide a reasonable assessment of the ability of each family to pay for the education of their children. FACTS does not make any decisions about recipients and amounts of tuition scholarships awarded. Recipients and amounts of tuition scholarships awarded from the Bishop's Scholars Fund are determined by the Diocese of Fort Worth. Recipients and amounts of tuition scholarships awarded from Holy Family Catholic School are determined by the Pastor, Principal and the Pastor's designees. Each year, to ensure consideration for a tuition scholarship from Holy Family and the Bishop's Scholars Fund, the parents must perform the following:

  1. File a financial aid application with FACTS by MARCH 1. It is the parents' responsibility to ensure that FACTS has all documentation necessary to complete the financial profile.  This application may be submitted prior to the completion of the online application/enrollment process.
  2. New Students - Timely complete and submit the Online Application and Online Enrollment packets, including the payment of all applicable fees.
  3. Returning Students - Timely complete and submit the Online Enrollment packet, including the payment of all applicable fees.

The Online Enrollment fee insures your intention of attending Holy Family and secures a place for your student in the fall.

FACTS will process all properly completed applications postmarked no later than the deadline noted above and submit the results of their analysis to the Diocese of Fort Worth.  The Diocese will make their decision regarding recipients and amounts of tuition scholarships awarded from the Bishop's Scholars Fund.  The Diocese will notify all applicants of any amounts awarded. The Diocese will then forward the FACTS analysis and their recipient and award information to Holy Family. The Pastor, Principal and the Pastor's designees will utilize the FACTS analysis and the Diocese's award information in determining recipients and amounts of tuition scholarships awarded by Holy Family. Notification of Holy Family awards will be emailed to applicants on May 31.
