Physical Education

In Physical Education, students learn the importance of life-long health, confidence, dignity and respect for self through physical activity. Various team sports are available to HFCS Middle School students, including basketball, soccer, volleyball, baseball, softball and track. All participants, including parents and coaches, go through Play Like a Champion training, which focuses on respect for self and others, as well as encouraging healthy competition.

HFCS has 88 percent of Middle School students playing at least one sport in 2022-2023, including 100 percent of 6th Grade joining a team. Go Hornets!

The HFCS Hornets are the proud recipients of a $2,000 Oliver Healthy Choices Grant.  These funds were dedicated to bring the First Tee National Golf School Program into our school.  The funds covered the cost to allow Miss Barker to become nationally certified in the First Tee National School Program Teacher Training.  The funds also covered the First Tee Curriculum Manual and Golf Equipment.

A $2,800 grant from the United States Bowling Federation enabled HFCS to add youth bowling equipment the the P.E. Curriculum.

HFCS is the ONLY private school certified in the National School Program in Fort Worth and is one of only 5 schools certified in Fort Worth.
