Holy Family Catholic School considers reading one of the most important skills in fully preparing our students to be lifelong learners. We emphasize reading for a variety of reasons: for enjoyment, to gain information, to be inspired, to make connections to our lives and the world, for insights on differing perspectives, and to develop critical thinking skills.
All returning students and those enrolled on or before July 1, must complete the full summer reading requirements by the first day of school. New students enrolled after July 1 must complete the book designated by the teacher. Each book will be an area of focus in the reading curriculum during the first grading quarter.
