Mass

The HFCS Student Body attends Mass each Thursday at 8:15 a.m., and the public is welcome to join. Each week a different grade serves as host, with the students serving as lectors, gift bearers, cantors, and greeters. On Holy Days of Obligation that fall during the week, HFCS Hornets participate in the Noon Mass at Holy Family Catholic Church.

In the event of the death of a Holy Family parishioner, we pay our respect to the deceased and their families through attendance to the funeral by one of our middle school classes.

Reconciliation

Grades Three through Eight receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation every four to five weeks.  The classes take turns rotating to attend confession after the weekly school Mass.  We also encourage students to participate in the Sacrament of Reconciliation throughout the year, by going to Confession at Holy Family Catholic Church, or the parish of their choice.

Preparation for First Reconciliation is part of the curriculum in Second Grade, in conjunction with classes held at HFCC. Once the second graders receive the sacrament, they are mixed into the rotation.

Adoration

HFCS students attend Adoration of the first Thursday of each month.  Exposition begins with the conclusion of 8:15 a.m. Mass, with the student body joining those present in praying the Divine Office. Throughout the day, each class spends time in prayer and reflection with Jesus in the form of the Most Blessed Sacrament, along with other faithful Catholics from the parish community.
