Volunteering at HFCS

Volunteering at HFCS

During the school year, each family is required to perform 30 hours of service for Holy Family Catholic School.  To volunteer one must have successfully completed safe environment training.  Prior to July 1, 2018, the training was titled "Safe and Sacred".  Effective, July 1, 2018, the Diocese implemented a new program titled "Protecting God's Children for Adults".  The new program is managed through VIRTUS and requires attendance at a live and in-person awareness session.  To start the process of being eligible to volunteer click on the "I Need a VIRTUS Profile" button on the right, read the directions and click on the gray box labeled "Start registration".

All volunteers must complete VIRTUS training no later than August 2019, regardless if their Safe and Sacred training expires after this date.

All families are required to log their service hours in ParentsWeb, as follows:

1. Login to Parents Web.

2. District Code is HFCS-TX

3. Enter your unique username and password.

4. Click on "Family Information"

5. Select your name and then click on the "Service Hours" tab.

6. Click on "Add Service Hours" and complete date, select a description from the drop down list, list the hours and provide a note, if applicable.

7. Click on "Save"

For a list of allowed service hours click on the Service Hour Eligibility link in the right side panel.

Service Hours logged by families will be checked in December.  At that time, an assessment of $10.00 per hour, or portion thereof, not served  will be billed in RenWeb.  Families will have the opportunity to work this balance off during the remainder of the school year.  All balances must be resolved to $0.00 through the logging of additional hours and/or payment no later than the last day of school.
