Pre-K 3

HFCS offers a faith-based PreKindergarten (3-year-old) program to our families. Parents are deciding on schooling by the time their child is three, and starting here at HFCS guarantees a consistent and quality education through the student's formative years. This is a wonderful interactive program where children learn through play. We hope HFCS will be your choice to begin your child's educational/faith journey. 

Curriculum-based program (Sing, Spell, Read & Write) introducing students to skills necessary to be successful in the PreK-4 program that includes, but is not limited to, the following: 

• Basic concepts of the Catholic faith
  • Creation, Prayer, Church, Bible, Morals and Values

• Introduction to Language Arts
  • Alphabet letters through Alphabet Adventure
  • Circle/Calendar/Story time/Songs/Finger plays/Phonics Awareness
  • Age appropriate communication
  • Use of crayons, markers, paint brushes, chalk, and scissors
  • Print and recognize first name
  • Following oral directions
  • Listening to stories/Answering questions

• Introduction to Mathematics Concepts
  • Shapes/Visual Discrimination/Opposites/Classification/Sequence
  • 11 color identification
  • Rote counting to 31/Identifying numbers 0-10
  • Manipulatives/Fine Motor Skills

• Group Activities to improve social skills
  • Interaction into a group setting
  • Manners/Sharing is caring
  • Supplemental-based program that will include Spanish, art, music, science, and social studies
