Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it. - Proverbs 22:6
Instilling a strong Catholic foundation is integral in every aspect of our school life at HFCS. Whether it is through the curriculum of regular religion classes, or the simple traditions of the Catholic faith displayed and practiced throughout the school, HFCS Hornets are truly taught in the way of Jesus Christ.
Following the Diocese of Fort Worth's religion curriculum standards, HFCS religion classes represent the four pillars of the Catechism of the Catholic Church: The Profession of Faith (Creed), Celebration of the Christian Mystery (Sacraments and the Mass), Life in Christ (The Ten Commandments and the Beatitudes), and Christian Prayer (The Prayer of the Believer).
The lessons in faith are far-reaching, teaching our students to love God and others, to have respect for themselves and their community. Regular participation in the sacraments and devotions of the Catholic Church instructs the students in Mass etiquette, and instills these as regular habits as they move through their lives.
